NPC — Zenless Zone Zero
4 sections on NPCs (Non-Player Characters) in ZZZ per community wiki: overview, shopkeeper NPCs, activity NPCs, full list of NPCs.
NPC (Non-Player Character) refers to characters in Zenless Zone Zero that cannot be controlled by the player — as opposed to Agents (playable characters). This includes characters that have only been mentioned (not yet appeared directly) as well as characters that may become playable Agents in the future; the community wiki does not clearly separate these two groups in its list. Most NPCs can be freely interacted with in the open world, but some only appear during Commissions or Events, and are categorized as "commission-exclusive" and "event-exclusive" NPCs respectively.
Some NPCs serve as shopkeepers, providing transactions for in-game resources. Most shops restock daily; detailed item lists live on each shop's own page (community wiki "Shops" section). The 11 shops recorded: 141 Convenience Store (Ask — Sixth Street, Lumina Square), Bardic Needle (Elfy — Sixth Street), Box Galaxy (Susie — Sixth Street), Coff Cafe (Tin Master — Sixth Street), Turbo Remodeling Shop (Enzo — Sixth Street), Waterfall Soup (General Chop, Chop Jr. — Sixth Street, Lumina Square), Logistics Shop (Casper — Scott Outpost), Sān-Z STUDIO (Yi — Lumina Square), BooBox (Marcel Group — Failume Heights), Devon Pawnshop (Vince — Failume Heights), Good Goods (Reed — Failume Heights), Tin Master's Coffee (Tin Master — Failume Heights), Yum Cha Sin (Sweety, Lee — Failume Heights).
Some NPCs serve as Points of Interest, granting access to certain in-game activities. The 4 entries recorded: Godfinger — Asha (Sixth Street), Newsstand — Howl (Sixth Street), Newsstand — Eve (Lumina Square), Divination — A-Shuo (Failume Heights).
the community wiki lists roughly 500 proper names (e.g. A-Bin, A-Cing, Acheron, Ada, Agent Bangboo, Ahab, Alan, Andreas...) under "List of NPCs", but WITHOUT any role/region/faction attached to each name — it is a bare name list linking to each NPC's own page. Per the iron rule against inference, this page does not fabricate a role/region/faction for those 500 names: the role/region/faction of each individual NPC in the full list — not yet published (each wiki page would need to be opened separately). The source's "Change History" section records only one line: the NPC page was released alongside Version 0.13 (Tuning Test), with no other changes listed.
